Chief Complaint: (written on the chart before I go in the room)

“3 year old Well Visit, bone protruding”

Interesting Name:

     Makel, Mekyel, Makahi  (three siblings)

Anecdote:

Logan, age 6, lost his first tooth.  A magical time during childhood.  I asked what happened to his tooth.
“I put it under the pillow.”
     “What happened then?”
     “I got three dollars.”
I looked at the Mother.  “Wow.  Inflation.”

She said, “He got three dollars but he wanted three thousand.”

Glenn Hansard was the singer and main character in the wonderful DVD "Once" with its exquisite music.  This song and video (on youtube) to me is very moving - reminding me of my children, their friends, their huge hearts with compassion and empathy for the poor and dispossessed, and a beautiful song and photography.
